SERVICING THE PIPE TRADES INDUSTRY FOR OVER 100 YEARS THROUGH LABOR/MANAGEMENT PARTNERSHIPS

United Association Local Union 345 was establish in the year 1965 and is a chapter of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA), which represents about 350,000 plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, HVAC service technicians and welders in Local Unions across North America.

United Association Local Union 345 offers the premier training programs available in the industry today, including five-year apprenticeship programs, extensive journeyman training, a comprehensive, five-year instructor training program, and numerous certification programs. We help our signatory contractors grow their market share by identifying new opportunities, providing support and connecting them to the safest, most skilled and most highly trained workforce in the industry.

Our Landscape and Irrigation, Sewer & Storm Drain, Underground Industrial Piping Industry Training program is approved by both state and federal agencies which include the Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) and the Department of Labor (DOL).

The classification of workers we offer include Journeyman, Apprentice and a helper classification called Tradesman.

Apprentices registered to our program are subjected to five years of hands-on training in the field by contractors, and hands-on training instruction in a school environment on scheduled Saturdays.

By using our program, contractors can take advantage of our job manpower ratios which includes:  1 Journeyman to 1 Apprentice and 2 Tradesman crew, on the state prevailing wage projects, and 1 Journeyman to 1 Apprentice crew, on Davis Bacon federally funded projects.  More information on our program can be found in the Division of Industrial Relations (DIR) and DOL websites as follow:
